The Relationship Room™

The same argument. The same silence. The same distance, no matter how it started this time.

Over three months, working directly with a psychotherapist trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, you’ll begin to understand the emotional choreography that keeps you apart. And together, create a different experience of one another.

See how it works ↓

You’re not the problem.
The pattern is.

The same argument, wearing different clothes. One of you reaches, the other pulls back. Or you’ve both gone quiet, in your own separate ways.

Neither of you is doing this on purpose. And neither of you is imagining it.

There is a pattern between you. A way of protecting yourselves that once made complete sense, long before you met each other, and now leaves you both feeling unseen.

Most couples don’t come here because they stopped loving each other. They come because they’ve become caught in a pattern neither of them intended to create.

Your relationship didn’t cause it. It revealed it.

There is another way to be with each other. The Relationship Room is where you find it.

This is for you if

You’ve asked him, again, to leave the kitchen tidy. He hasn’t.

Why do I have to ask? Why doesn’t what matters to me matter to him? Suddenly you’re fighting about the kitchen. Except you’re not. You’re fighting about whether you matter.

One of you pursues. The other withdraws.

You both leave feeling unseen. Neither of you realises you’re dancing the same emotional choreography you’ve been dancing for years. And stepping on each other’s toes.

You keep trying harder to get everything right.

The home. The relationship. The children. Everything. The more pressure you put on yourself, the more disconnected you both become.

You don’t want to disappoint them. So you stop saying what you really think.

They experience distance. You experience relief. Until neither of you feels truly known.

You miss feeling like lovers, not just co-managers of a life.

Somewhere between the schedules and the responsibilities, the desire went quiet. You want it back. Not performed, actually felt.

You want to feel like partners again.

Chosen and seen, safe enough to actually reach for each other. Not opponents, not roommates.

Why I created The Relationship Room

I created The Relationship Room because couples therapy can easily become something you keep meaning to make space for.

You book a session. You talk about what has happened since the last one. You open something important. Then life takes over.

Work. Children. Travel. Exhaustion.
Everything else that needs your attention.

And suddenly two or three weeks have passed before you are back in the room.

That makes it difficult to create real momentum.

The Relationship Room is a way of making room for your relationship.

For three months, you commit to working on your relationship with a couples session every week. You don’t have to keep deciding whether this is the week to book another session. The space is already there.

Between sessions, you have exercises and conversations to bring the work into your everyday life. We don’t just talk about your relationship for an hour and then leave it behind until next time. We work with what happens between you in real life.

Over time, you begin to notice the patterns more clearly, understand what is happening underneath them, and practise responding to each other differently.

Three months to pause the autopilot.
Three months to pay attention.
Three months to make room for each other.

Make room for your relationship.
That’s The Relationship Room.

How we work together

Three months.
Ten sessions.

Ten sessions together as a couple
Exercises between sessions

Most of our work happens together, in the room, in real time.

We don’t just talk about your pattern. We work with it as it happens between you.

01

Seeing the pattern between you

Together, we begin to see what keeps happening between you.

One reaches.
The other pulls away.

You react to each other, get caught in the same dynamic, and somehow end up in the same place, no matter what started the conflict.

Once you can see the pattern as it happens, you can begin to do something different.

02

Understanding what lies underneath

We explore what sits underneath the pattern. What hurts. What you long for. And what you have learned to do to protect yourself when you feel hurt, rejected or disconnected.

Together, you begin to find new ways of turning towards each other.

More safety.
More understanding.
More closeness.

03

Making it part of everyday life

The new way of meeting each other shouldn’t only work in the therapy room.

You take it with you into everyday life.

Conversations become easier. Conflicts don’t have to last as long. And when you lose connection, you become better at finding your way back to each other.

The goal isn’t to never get it wrong.
It’s to know how to find each other again when you do.

To feel, once again, that you’re on the same team.
Not just during our sessions, but in the life you share.

Questions you might have

Do you take sides?

No. I won’t decide who is right. The pattern is the problem, not either of you.

We’ve tried communication tools before. Why would this be different?

We don’t practise scripts. We work with the pattern as it happens between you, in real time.

We’re not in crisis. Is it too early?

No. You don’t need to be in crisis. A pattern is easier to change before it has hardened.

Can we talk about desire and intimacy?

Yes. How you touch and want each other is part of the relationship, and part of the work.

How does it work in practice?

Ten sessions online over three months, with exercises between them to bring the work into everyday life. Session length follows what each session needs, 60 to 90 minutes. One follow-up session several weeks after we finish.
