What shapes us
I have spent more than 20 years trying to understand what shapes us as human beings.
Why we become who we become. Why we adapt, protect, achieve and sometimes lose touch with ourselves. And why the patterns that once helped us can later get in the way of the life and relationships we want.
I came to this work through social psychology, coaching and organisational work, and eventually psychotherapy. Along the way, I became increasingly interested in what happens underneath our behaviour.
Because insight alone isn’t always enough.
We can understand exactly what we are doing and still find ourselves repeating the same reaction when we feel hurt, afraid, rejected or disconnected.
The pattern between you matters.
This is especially true in relationships.
One person reaches. The other withdraws. One feels unseen and pushes harder. The other feels criticised and pulls away.
Before long, you are no longer responding to each other. You are responding to the pattern.
My work is about understanding what is happening underneath that pattern. The needs, fears, expectations and protective strategies each person brings into the relationship, and how they interact with each other.
Because the things couples argue about are often not really what they are fighting about.

My life in Spain
I moved from Sweden to Spain and made my home in the Andalusian countryside.
Casa Eden grew from that move. What began as my own home has become a place where I now work with couples who want time and space to reconnect, away from the routines of everyday life.
Today, I work with individuals and couples online, and with couples privately at Casa Eden in southern Spain.
Private Couples Intensive at Casa Eden ↗How I see the work
I don’t believe we need to become someone else.
I believe we need to understand ourselves more deeply, recognise the patterns we have learned, and make room for who we are now.
Sometimes that means learning to speak when you normally withdraw.
Sometimes it means staying present when you want to run.
Sometimes it means understanding why you keep asking for the same thing in the same way.
And sometimes it means seeing the relationship with yourself more clearly before you can change the relationship with someone else.
That is where we begin.
